Good afternoon everybody! Today I am super excited to share a collaboration I am doing with a fellow blogger, the lovely Southern Girl’s Pearl, Taylor. You can find her on Instagram at southerngirlspearl. She will also be posting a school outfit idea on her blog, which you can find here. She has great advice for college, style, and beauty, and we both have similar content so I am sure you will enjoy her too. Check out her page for another preppy school outfit idea.
Sometimes in the mornings I am at a complete loss of what to wear. However, I always have a go-to outfit to lean on, which is an oxford shirt, lightweight sweater, jeans, and pearls. I find that there are endless combinations with those four pieces, and honestly, with the amount of those items in my closet, I haven’t even explored all the possibilities. These items are also stable pieces for any preppy or classy dresser. I will list my favorite stores to find these pieces at below.
For today’s rendition of my go-to school outfit, I paired a hunter green J.Crew sweater with a navy gingham print button up from Gap.
I also went for my favorite pair of Gap jeans, which I cuffed at the bottom for a more polished look. And because school requires quite a bit of walking to and from classes and walking around campus, I wore my white converse. These are also essential for any preppy closet, as they are so versatile.
Now of course we cannot forget about accessories. In addition to my pearls (which I picked up at a local boutique for $3) I wore my Kate Spade gold pearl watch. I also added a Kate Spade bow bracelet and an anchor bracelet from Francesca’s.
Thank you all so much for reading and please check out Taylor’s blog. If you are interested in collabing with me in the future, please leave a comment below or message me on instagram.
