Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share with you all my Valentine’s Day Lookbook! Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to add a little flare to your everyday style or dress up for a night out. I chose to focus on three different styles for the day, depending on what you are doing. Later this week I will be posting a Valentine’s Day lookbook for those of us who don’t have a Valentine (silently sheds a tear). Stay tuned for those more casual looks!
Let’s get on with the looks!
Outfit 1: Galentine’s Day
I wanted to include one look that was geared towards going out with the girls instead of a date. But this outfit is versatile for a date as well!
I went with a trendy ruffle blouse that I bought off Poshmark. I sadly have never found a link to this adorable piece, but ruffles are a major trend right now and I will link multiple look a likes below. I love how flirty the sleeves are, and you will definitely turn heads in such a unique piece.
I added a black suede skirt from Forever 21. The different textures of this look make your outfit look much more expensive than it actually is. Experiment with different textures and trends to amplify your personal style.
For shoes I went with these darling suede block heels from Gap. I have a pair of these for sale on Poshmark. If anyone is interested in purchasing these, please shoot me an email! Pink is a staple Valentine’s Day color, and adding the color in your shoes is a sneaky way to say “Hey, It’s Valentine’s Day!” without being over powering.
blouse: Nordstrom, Topshop, Red Dress Boutique, RDB, ChicWish | skirt: Forever 21, HM, Lulus, | shoes: poshmark (email me), Nine West, Loft
Outfit 2: Dinner & Dancin’
This next outfit is perfect for a date night! Dance the night away in this skater skirt dress.
My scalloped skater dress is from Lulu’s. I find it very flattering and timeless. It’s flirt and you can style it to make it your own!
My necklace is from Cato’s Closet. My mom picked it up for me one day for only $4! I could not find this piece online, so I will link similar pieces below as I always do.
With a dress as flirty as this one, I like to keep the shoes simple. Target is my go-to for simplistic shoes that are comfortable, such as these nude pumps. Keeping the shoes simple in this type of outfit brings the attention to the masterpiece of the outfit: the scalloped hem and, of course, you!
And we cannot forget my lipstick. This shocking pink shade is “Menace” from Urban Decay.
dress: Lulu’s | necklace: Macy’s, Dillard’s, Etsy | shoes: Target | lipstick: Urban Decay
Outfit 3: Dinner Date
For the final outfit I went with something a little more refined. For the utmost sophistication, lean towards cigarette pants, heels, and a pop of color.
My cream blouse is currently on sale from J.Crew! If you live in an area that is still in the dead of winter, throw on a coat to keep warm.
I am a strong advocate and supporter of J.Crew pixie pants. If you don’t have a pair, stop reading this post and place an order for some. They are totally worth the price and will go with anything!
I also accessorized with the same Target pumps. I then added a pop of color with my Kate Spade purse.
blouse: J.Crew | pants: J.Crew | shoes: Target (previously linked) | purse: Kate Spade | coat: Thread and Supply
Thank you all so much for reading! I am sending lots of love to you this Valentine’s Day. Whether you have a Valentine or not, fashion is always there for you. Dress up this Valentine’s Day and treat your self. I also want to give a huge thank you to my friend Laney for being such an amazing photographer!
As always,
