We all know what time it is right now. Back to school season. And while we all dread to here those words, at some point we gotta start thinking about school supplies, class schedules, backpack monograms, and, my favorite, back to school clothes! I used to go crazy back to school clothing shopping, but this year I decided to go back to some classic pieces instead of buying a whole new wardrobe. I hope you all enjoy my rendition of pairing a classic rugby-striped skirt with two trendier pieces.
My striped skirt is several years old (I purchased this in 8th grade!) but that just goes to show that it’s totally ok to keep classic pieces in your closet for years on end and update them with new trends. I think the mix of navy and green is perfect for that Ivy-league school girl look.
My shirt, however, is recently purchased (and very much worn!) on the blog. I have two other outfits planned with this top, bringing the amount of features of this top to 4. But who’s counting?? The reason I love this top so much is because it has the classic silhouette and structure, but is on trend this season. And the best part? It’s $13.
As for shoes, I thought that these espadrilles would complete the look perfectly. I love how they take this classic look to a new level. And they are so comfortable! Completely wearable for school.
While this skirt is not for sale anymore (even though I would buy it in a million color combinations-it’s just the cutest!) I have rounded up some other options that I think work just as well. If you are like me and love to dress up for school, this look is just the one for you. I highly recommend checking out this Shein blouse as well as these Soludos espadrilles because both are staples for a back to school wardrobe. Until next time, I hope you all enjoy preparing your closet for the new school year!
As always,

Hey Madison!
I love those espadrille heels, so chic. I would love to hear about your haircare routine and how you style your hair, because honestly it's absolutely gorgeous and looks so voluminous.
