Hello everyone! Fall is just beginning, and I am so excited to bring out all my favorite things- riding boots, tights, sweaters and button ups, and darker lipstick! Also coming with the season is my favorite pumpkin roll from Fresh Market, apple cider, leaves changing colors, and crisp air. As a mountain girl at heart, I will definitely miss seeing the Smokies change colors from my backyard, but I will definitely be making some trips to the mountains around South Carolina and North Carolina to get my mountain fix. Anyone love Max Patch as much as me? You will probably see me there this fall!
On to the fashion side of things, I am so thrilled that ruffled sleeves are still trending this fall because some of my favorite clothing pieces from this past year have ruffles. I probably will never stop wearing ruffle sleeves because I love them so much, so expect me to be out of trend in 2 years wearing my ruffle sleeves. Today’s outfit features a top I picked up from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale back in July- and I am so glad I did! This purchase was such a steal, and I am so excited to style it all fall. I decided today deserved a transition to fall outfit since we are currently experiencing this lovely passing over of seasons.
I love pairing statement tops like this one with a pencil skirt- I think it accentuates the silhouette of the top but also polishes up the look. I paired this top with a plum colored corduroy skirt from Banana Republic that’s a few years old. The plum color is perfect for fall- which also can help transition this piece into the autumn styles and colors.
Let’s get another look at that sleeve detail. The material is a poplin style which makes it light enough for the beginning of fall. The fabric also helps to maintain the shape of the ruffles (obviously the most important aspect of the top!)
Even though the shoes are sandal style, I think they are a great piece to transition to the new season. They are just the right shade of beige that works for all seasons in my opinion. This outfit would look amazing later on in the season with sheer tights and brown riding boots too.
I hope you all enjoyed this outfit that can work for transitioning to fall. Check out another post here that I did with The Dapper Lilly for this transition time. I am so excited to ring in my favorite season, so to celebrate with me let me know below what your favorite parts about fall are! Do you love the PSL or riding boots? What about the weather or the fall decor? I would love to know! See you all later!
As always,
