Hey friends!
So this post is like 2 years late, but I thought it might be some good inspiration for any incoming college freshmen still looking for some dorm decor. Looking back, my freshman year dorm room was honestly so plain and I wish I would have added more color into the bedding and headboard. What I didn’t like freshman year, I revamped and renewed during my sophomore year. I really loved my pink and navy theme, and I thought it fit my style really well.
For those who don’t know, I go to Furman University in Greenville, SC. I’m actually a senior, but I wasn’t blogging regularly during my sophomore year because I was swamped with school work and extracurriculars. I think I posted my room on my Instagram a couple times, but I never dedicated an entire post to it. If you’re curious, Furman has Twin XL beds, and this dorm is in Lakeside (Chiles 200). I lived on my sorority’s hall (we don’t have Greek houses) and this was honestly such a fun experience and one of my favorite parts of sophomore year. The rooms in Lakeside are 1000 times nicer than all the other housing on campus. So I really enjoyed having painted walls (rather than cinderblocks) and hardwood floors.
