I LOVE Chanel. It’s timeless, elegant, and goes with so many different styles and ages. However, I do not have the budget for even a piece of Chanel makeup, so for now I can only dream of the day I purchase authentic Channel flats, purse, or suit set. Even though my wallet doesn’t have the capacity for Chanel, I still like to look for items inspired by the classic designer. Many brands such as J.Crew, H+M, and Zara carry items that have a similar look to the Parisian designer, so whenever I see something remotely similar, I’ll purchase it! When I was in Paris for study abroad last fall (aka the capital of Chanel), I purchased several items that looked very similar to the brand. I’ve styled them all here for you today, and I hope you enjoy this Chanel-inspired and somewhat festive winter look!
My tip for looking classic any time of the year? A simple black and white ensemble! You seriously can never go wrong with only black and white clothing- it has to match right?? Another must-have is owning a simple black dress you love. I also bought this one in Paris, get this- at GAP haha! It’s great for work, layered with blazers and coats, or for a cocktail party.
Want to hear the story of these shoes? I had my eye on them the entire time I was studying abroad, and I finally bought them the last day of my trip. They are a comfortable and timeless black chunky heel with an ankle strap, sort of a Mary Jane style shoe. They are youthful and flirty, yet comfortable and chic.
And y’all know I love a good headband- I probably wear them way too often. But they seriously tie an entire outfit together and can fix up a bad hair day. Sometimes I have trouble getting them to look right with my poofy hair, so instead of pushing the headband back on my head, I just sit it behind my ears and then pull out any hair that looks weird.
