Easter is less than a week away, and for many, graduation is on the horizon. Spring is always such an exciting time because it is usually filled with many more banquets, celebrations, and graduations than other times of the year. While COVID is pushing many celebrations online or cancelled entirely, I am so thankful that my graduation is still *knock on wood* scheduled to be in-person. It’s truly unbelievable to me that I am about to embark in a life that is separate from my undergrad. I’m still figuring out exactly what I want to do, but I do have some options. I’m trying to not stress too much just yet, and instead enjoy my last month or so of college life.
If you’re looking for something to wear to a celebration, including Easter + Graduation, scroll through this post for some inspiration! I have put pink hearts on any item that is under $100, as I know many of us are on a budget. The dresses over $100 don’t top more than about $300. // tips for picking out a graduation dress //
Consider the color of your cap + gown, degree collar, and cords. Stay away from busy patterns. I personally recommend a pastel or white dress, as these match more with the graduation regalia. I went for a white dress for my high school graduation. I also recommend finding a dress that airs on the more timeless/classic side over being trendy. You will have these photos for your entire life, and you might prefer a dress that is in style yet has classic elements that make it timeless.
Shoes are also a struggle sometimes for graduation ceremonies. Many ceremonies are on grass or football stadiums (aka mine!), so heels are frankly not an option. There is also the concern of tripping or falling (I feel like everyone has that fear). I really love the Soludos espadrilles. They come in a variety of heights and colors. I have the 3.5inch, and I find them to be the perfect height for wearing with any length dress. I wore them to my high school graduation, and I felt comfortable and sturdy walking in them.
xoxo,
Madison
