As my time as an undergrad comes to an end (not yet, but very soon!), I wanted to share my dorms and apartments throughout the years. If you don’t know this about me, I have lived residential on-campus all four years of college. This is one of the many reasons I chose my school, Furman University in Greenville, SC, but now that I’m ready to go out into the real world or graduate school (still making choices over here!), I realize that I am a little unprepared when it comes to finding and leasing apartments. But it’s all good, I’ll figure that out when I get there!
One of the benefits of living on campus all four years has been the close proximity to all my friends. You are constantly near the action of campus, and I feel connected to the close-knit nature of our campus. I also am appreciative of the fact that I don’t have to lease an apartment or worry about neighbors that aren’t my peers. I’ve also saved money on not buying furniture besides a few decorative pieces like side tables and large lamps. But alas, now that I have to start researching and applying for apartments, I don’t have much experience under my belt. But you win some, you lose some, right?
I’ll link some of my other apartment and dorm related posts down below. I actually don’t think I’ve shared my junior and senior year apartments besides photos of them occasionally on my Instagram stories. I’m just sharing photos of my bedroom because, frankly, the apartments on campus are not cute in the slightest and we minimally decorated it to save money!
