Hey friends!
I have had tons of people ask me how my apartment is coming along (and I haven’t even moved in yet!) I promised I’d do a few posts preparing my apartment for move-in, and since my apartment mood board post, I have bought a few items!
I found the couch of my dreams- a navy velvet couch under $800! The couch is a loveseat size, which is perfect for my tiny apartment. This couch comes in a variety of other colors. If you have your eye on it, wait for its price to fluctuate under $800. The price goes back and forth every few days so just keep a close eye on it.
I was browsing Facebook Marketplace and Etsy for a vintage wicker/rattan coffee table with a glass top. I stumbled upon the exact kind I envisioned on Etsy- and I am so glad I bought it! It’s literally perfect, and the seller was great. I will link her page here.
The bed frame search has come to a bit of a halt. I found this adorable full-sized pink velvet one from Walmart, but it is out stock literally everywhere I looked. I’ve signed up for a few restock alerts so I’m hoping it comes back in stock soon!
I have been obsessed with Luigi Massoni vanity table for about a year now, but because it is vintage 1960s and in high-demand from collectors, it’ll run you anywhere from $3000-$10,000. So obviously that is out of the question. I saw a dupe for it on Tik Tok one day from Urban Outfitters. It’ll still run you over $600, but I have it on my wishlist and hope to buy it when I save up enough for it.
// rugs //
I am having a rough time finding a rug y’all! I originally had the antelope style one that I shared in my apartment decor plan, but now I am feeling that it doesn’t really match up with what I want my apartment to look like. I found two I really like, but they don’t come in a 6×9, which is the size I need. So I guess I’m digging around the internet some more!
Now for the fun part! I have been browsing tons of websites for apartment decor, so I figured I’d round up some of my best finds in a post. I am not getting the majority of these things, but I figured it’s worth a share! You can click directly on the image to shop, or use the links below the second image.
vanity set // Vogue print set
press for champagne wall decor // bonjour tray // blue dot pillow case
white tiger lamp // green animal pillow case // bamboo circle mirror
mid-century modern house book // yellow tiger print rug // purple eyes tray
green chess set // leopard print wicker storage vase
blue art deco shower curtain // art deco gold headboard // diamond check jute rug
I hope this post gave y’all some mod decor vibes! I became obsessed with the mod decor trend in part because of Queens Gambit, but also because it seems to inspire a lot of the Grand Millennial style I see today. I love finding timeless decor, and an easy way to do that is finding elements of previous decor trends that you love. I am not super into fads with decor, but I feel like this leaning towards mod decor and vintage interior design styles is a great way to decorate your house. I personally don’t think I’ll grow tired of it, and I hope you won’t either!
xoxo,
Madison
