Girlies it’s time for another Retro Mix! For those of you who are new here, I share a roundup of a few retro-inspired pieces (mainly 60s/70s era) a few times a month for my fellow retro-loving gal pals. I’ve always had a love for older fashion (1920s, 1960s, 80s patterns, etc.,), but as I have my own money to buy clothes and research trends and inspiration, I have found that I absolutely LOVE wearing retro-inspired clothing and imitating the quintessential styles of years gone by.
I don’t have much to say for today’s post, except for the fact that Anthropologie will have all my money by the time fall is over. Their “Maeve” brand is putting out absolute FIRE 60s and 70s inspired pieces. I’m talking shift dresses, mod patterns, sweater tees, wide-leg pants, etc. If you don’t want to fall down a wallet-draining rabbit hole, I recommend NOT checking it out. But if you are anything like me I know you will so I picked out a few of my faves from Maeve for this mix + included other retro items under the $100 mark. Also, if you try hard enough, you might be able to find a restock for the Audrey Hepburn-inspired Anthropologie shift dress, linked here. She was restocked this week and immediately sold out, but I’m guessing some people might return if it doesn’t fit them- so just keep an eye on it.
plaid 60s shift // vintage cut jeans // geometric flare pants
black off the shoulder top (Audrey Hepburn who?!) // mod sweater shift dress
floral shorts // exaggerated collar blouse
