Every fall my love for “Parisian girl” fashion resurfaces. Yes I love the classic basics and neutrals all year round, but something about fall makes those layer-able neutrals pop. If you have no clue what I’m talking about, maybe I can break down what French girl style means to me.
When I studied abroad in France, you could just tell when someone was a “French girl”. Their style appears effortless, yet put together at the same time. French girl style is timeless- imagine button ups, trenches, ballet flats, blazers, neutrals, and crisp lines. Everything works together, and they almost have a capsule wardrobe of timeless pieces that go with just about everything. In “researching” for this post, several articles mentioned a sort of “undone elegance” that French women convey in their clothing, makeup, and hair. It’s that sort of je ne sais quoi. You know it when you see it, but sometimes it’s hard to put it together yourself. So today I wanted to share with you some clothing that can help you embody that French girl look.
