I don’t know if anyone else is like this, but when fall is around the corner I like to invest in a few pairs of shoes to carry me through the season. In the past, I opted for cheap shoe options that were often trendy but fell apart within a year or so. As I am growing into my personal style and favoring investing in more expensive items over buying as many things each season as I can, I have found that Sarah Flint shoes really speak to my ideal goal in style: comfort, elegance, and timelessness. My Emma Slings are easily becoming a staple in my classic closet. You can easily add a pair of Sarah Flints into your closet, especially with my code that’ll give you $50 off! (More on that down below).
So I shared all about my Sarah Flint Emma Slings a little while ago this summer (you can read the post here). I have been loving wearing them with dressier outfits, but also with a pair of jeans and a cute blouse. I find that these shoes match with so many things (the black and brown tortoiseshell makes it simple to mix with a ton of colors and patterns), and they can easily add elegance to a casual outfit or round out a workwear or fancier occasion ensemble. I’ve paired my Emma slings in today’s post with a pair of white cropped jeans (easily swap for a medium wash denim for fall), as well as a black and white gingham sweater tee (you will be seeing these frequently this fall and winter). For those of you that live in the South like me and are in a SWELTERING heat wave, you can begin your fall transitional wardrobe with easy tops like this one and these Emma slings. The tortoiseshell pattern reminds me of Preppy Gal autumn, so even if the weather is 90 degrees, your shoes will make you feel like you’re sipping on a PSL at the pumpkin patch.
If the Emma Sling isn’t for you, consider the other staple shoes I have below. I browsed the entire Sarah Flint website (go have a look- there is a ton of great stuff to find on there!), and I picked out the shoes I would own if I had an unlimited wallet and closet space. I think the next shoe on my wishlist is the classic black pump or the beige-y loafers.

top row: Perfect Emma in Chocolate Leopard // Perfect Pump 85 in Black Suede
middle row: Natalie Flat in Saddle Vacchetta // Emma Sling in Tortoise Patent
bottom row: Perfect Pump 100 in Sand Calf // Rosie Loafer in Taupe Suede
Perfect Emma in Chocolate Leopard: These shoes are similar to my Emma Slings, expect for the full back and a slightly thicker heel. These shoes fit true to size (the Emma sling fits a half size small, so if you are a 7.5 in Emma Sling get a 7 in the Perfect Emma). Imagine these with a straight pair of jeans, crisp white button up, or even with a classic black turtleneck. If leopard isn’t your thing, the Perfect Emmas come in Black Suede, Taupe Suede, Navy Suede, Merlot suede (gorgeous red), and Sand Calf.
Perfect Pump 85 in Black Suede: The Perfect Pump comes in a variety of heel heights, and I think the 85 might be my fave. This pair comes in multiple color ways and fabrics. Sarah Flint keeps comfort in mind when designing her shoes, so you can expect these heels to have heel support, comfortable shoe boxes, and tons of padding. This shoe fits true to size.
Natalie Flat in Saddle Vacchetta: Every gal needs a comfortable pair of leather flats. These bow-detail flats are gorgeous and so classic. These will never go out of style (arguably none of these shoes in this post will go out of style, but that’s just my thoughts!) The Natalie comes in a variety of colors and patterns, including leather and non-leather fabrics. Natalies should fit true to size for medium-width feet. If you have a wider foot, try a 1/2 size up.
Emma Sling in Tortoise Patent: My absolute fave. These gorgeous slingbacks come in the Tortoise Patent, Black Leather, and Cognac Calf. The website says that Emma Slings fit true to size, but I recommend sizing up! These can run snug at first.
Perfect Pump in Sand Calf: These gorgeous 100mm shoes are perfect for every occasion. Sarah Flint wants your feet to be comfortable without sacrificing style, and these shoes fit that bill. They come in a variety of colors as well. Unique to Sarah Flint, her Perfect Pumps have an expanded toe box to keep your toes from feeling cramped.
Rosie Loafer in Taupe Suede: A gorgeous loafer perfect for the classic working gals. These would look gorgeous in a variety of work outfits, or paired casually with jeans or a plaid skirt for fall. Sarah Flint recommends ordering a 1/2 size down as these leather shoes tend to stretch.
I know the price of Sarah Flint shoes can be daunting to a lot of people. If I hadn’t been gifted these, I probably wouldn’t have bought them until I had a full-time job and felt more financially stable. However, if you have the budget to invest in these shoes, I highly recommend it. I think it’s important to invest in clothing and accessories that are designed to last for years, surpass trends, and stay comfortable. I aim to make my Sarah Flints last for as long as possible. Sarah Flint designs all her shoes with these pillars in mind, and I think that the pricing of her shoes reflects that. You can also use AfterPay with Sarah Flint, which will space out your payments over the course of 6-weeks. A great way to dip your toes into the water with a pair of Sarah Flints! There are also frequent archive sales that you can check out if you want major discounts besides the $50 off!
