Did reading the title of this blog post bring happiness to your eyes? No, just me? Well let me explain. Anytime I hear the combination of polka dots and pearls, I am taken to the 1950s. Kinda random, right? I love polka dots, and so did a lot of style icons in the 1950s. Think polka dot vintage swing dresses. I also think pearls because of the lovelyAudrey Hepburn. Needless to say polka dots and pearls is a classic combination. It will always be one of my go-tos because it is a timeless ensemble. I wanted to recreate the timelessness of pearls and polka dots in an everyday outfit I typically wear year round. Ask anyone that knows me and they will surely tell you that button-ups are a daily clothing item for me. I also love my pearls, and I wear a pearl necklace or pearl earrings almost every day of the week. This necklace from Prep Obsessed is no exception. It is a classic statement piece that goes well with just about anything, especially polka dots!

I based the outfit around the polka dots and the pearl necklace, so I kept the bottom of the outfit simple. For me that means cuffed jeans and oxfords. Just call me Spencer Hastings! The color of the oxfords makes this outfit fall in the “fall” category, but this is the type of outfit that I wear year round.
