Looking for the perfect dress for a wedding this summer? Now that we can finally celebrate our loved ones and dress up for special occasions again, I figured it was time for a wedding dress post! For some reason I feel like people struggle to find dresses for weddings, which honestly can be difficult because you want to look nice but not upstage the bride. Weddings a great opportunity to pull out a nice dress, especially if the wedding is formal attire or black tie. Most of these dresses would satisfy a cocktail or garden party wedding, but many of the midi dresses would be great for formal attire. Many of the dresses featured are under $100, and most are under the $300 mark. I think it’s important to find a few good quality, timeless wedding dresses that you can wear again and again. But I do agree it’s fun to show off your personal style at weddings, so sometimes a splurge (or even just an impulse by) on a trendy one can be totally fine too!
Styling dresses for weddings is simple, too. Simply throw on a pair of nude wedges, espadrilles, heels, or sandals, add a clutch (go for a pop of color if the dress is more simple or stick to a neutral or straw style bag for more detailed dresses), and then throw on a pair of statement earrings that work with the dress. Consider the venue and weather before deciding your dress and accessories. Summer weddings in the South get humid and HOT. Wear short sleeves and choose something that is a little looser fitting and billowy. And of course avoid heels (and stick to espadrilles or wedges) if the wedding will be outdoors. Consider covering up your shoulders and cleavage if attending a church wedding, even in the summer.
xoxo,
Madison
